MONITORING
We keep systematic monitoring of the situation along the line of separation. Our focus is escalation of the frontline, documenting the evidence of civilians who witnessed shellings. We also keep an eye on the respect for human rights during crossing of the line of separation, Ukrainian-Russian border or checkpoints as well as of life in the closed settlements.

We collect data on heavy human rights violations, war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during the armed conflict in the East of Ukraine to restore justice, abolish impunity and implement right to the truth.

Our hub in Sievierodonetsk is designed with several components: educational: trainings, lectures and language clubs; psychological: individual consultations and group meetings; and humanitarian: individual help and consultations.

Vostok SOS Mariupol
Our office in Mariupol provides free legal support for victims of the conflict in the East of Ukraine, consultations on crossing checkpoints in Luhansk and Donetsk oblast via phones of the “hotlines”. Lawyers of the Mariupol office visit checkpoints to control the respect for human rights during the crossing of the line of separation.
