We assisted in resetting 39 Ukrainians to Germany

The Vostok SOS Charitable Foundation is dedicated to evacuating individuals from frontline areas and providing accommodation for those in need of medical care abroad. In September 2023, with the financial support of Libereco and collaboration with the Barrier-Free Foundation, we assisted in resetting 39 Ukrainians to Germany, primarily in Hanover. These individuals belong to low-mobility groups and were evacuated during the full-scale russian war from the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Kharkiv regions.

Evacuation abroad represents a lifeline for those displaced from the frontlines, offering them a second chance at life. It is also a testament to the solidarity of nations. We deeply appreciate the unwavering support from Germany, which has enabled us to provide Ukrainians with access to healthcare facilities and geriatric centers,” remarked Yevheniia Tkachuk, our Evacuation Coordinator.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who joined us in this mission: the Barrier-Free Foundation for their invaluable organization, the dedicated volunteers of the “Medical and Psychological Assistance Volunteer Community” for their steadfast support and assistance at the Lviv Railway Station, the Good Samaritan House of Mercy for offering shelter and care to the evacuees, and the Lokalizační záchranný sbor ČR for their compassionate concern for Ukrainian refugees.

Since the onset of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, the Vostok SOS Charitable Foundation has successfully evacuated approximately 400 individuals to Germany. Let us continue working together to provide aid and support to those in need.
